It's a time when we reflect on and prepare to celebrate the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ — the greatest gift the world has ever received. It's also a time when commercialism is at its annual peak. While not intending to vilify all aspects of a free-market economy, it's clear to even the most casual consumer that they're being bombarded with "you've got to have this" propaganda. Vendors aren't too concerned with whether you really need their product, but they're very concerned that you can be convinced that you do. The bad news for us porn strugglers is that porn propaganda doesn't go out of season. The intensity is always there. The good news, though, is that Jesus doesn't go out of season either. Jesus was born to be a free gift to us sinners. He was born to "overcome" the propaganda of false needs. He offers you an opportunity to become an overcomer, too.
