Welcome to eXXit, the web site designed to help you stand strong in the face of sexual temptation.

Passage: Matthew 18:6*

But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. — Jesus Christ

Questions

1. What does Jesus mean in this passage?

2. How does the message apply to us?

Practical help

In case you haven't noticed, your browser probably stores all of the Web sites you visit in its memory.

This wonder of modern technology may not bother you — unless an impressionable person has access to your PC. Like a child or a young Christian. That's when Jesus' words get downright spooky.

Jesus says it would be better for us to jump into the Mediterranean with a millstone necklace than cause little ones to sin. What punishment is he talking about? Though for Christians it's not a reference to the loss of salvation, no one knows exactly what it means. But do you want to risk it?

Figure out how to wipe the offending sites from your browser. Tips:

In Windows Internet Explorer, go to TOOLS | INTERNET OPTIONS, and click "delete files" and "clear history."

In Netscape Communicator, go to COMMUNICATOR | TOOLS | HISTORY, click CONTROL-A, and hit DELETE.

If there are still traces of smut in your browser files, uninstall your browser (deleting all images, history and cookies), then reinstall it.

Software, like souls, can use a fresh start from time to time.
